Shopping my stash!

Over the last few years, through receiving beauty samples and splurges, I've managed to accumulate more beauty products than Boots (sort of...!)What's more ridiculous is that over half of my stash has been sitting in my drawers unused and forgotten about. So, in the midst of a mass clear out (that resulted in a small bag of clothes being given away - hey, I'm a hoarder) I decided to see what treasures where lurking in my beauty drawer....

Products I NEED to try...
I love the vivid hues of this green Bourjois eyeshadow! I recently tried dark blue but as it gets closer to summer I really want to try something a bit brighter. My NARS Laguna highlighter has also received little use since I bought it almost a year ago so I'll definitely be using it more now that the sun's decided to come out. The Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation has also received some really good reviews and I don't know why I've never used it! It has a slightly matte texture but the finish is beautiful (mini-review coming soon...)

What was I thinking...
I must have had one Red Bull too many when I bought this customised Inglot palette because it is SO not me! The colours are too dark and the icy undertones can look ashy on my skintone. The Maybelline Eraser Foundation was a last minute purchase but the colour is too light (although the coverage and finish is brilliant). Other 'what-was-I-thinking' products include pale brown lippie (UGH), lilac eyeshadow and a NARS green glitter crayon that has little or no pigment. None of these products are 'bad' per se but they don't suit my skintone.

Forgotten Favourites
Ahh... I love rediscovering products that at one time I used over and over again. I got SO many compliments when I wore the Topshop lipstick in Brighton Rock - it's the perfect bright pink and I've no idea why I haven't used it that much. One Hot Minute by Benefit is also great for creating a natural 'inner glow' and the YSL Top Secret Primer was one of my first ever luxury purchases that made me fall in love with the brand...

I had so much fun going through my makeup collection - it was like going shopping without the credit card bill! For anyone thinking of going on a spending ban I would really recommend 'shopping your stash' - it's great for discovering new products!
