Last week I picked up my second bottle of Liz Earle’s Cleanse and Polish and it occurred to me that I had never sung its praises here on ABB! I’m sure every beauty writer has waxed lyrical about this bottle of wonder already but it would be a tragedy not to mention it here. For the uninitiated Liz Earle is a beauty brand that specialises in natural beauty products. I’ve mentioned how great their makeup range is for darker skin already but their cleanser is also ideal for Asian and dark skin.
It has a very thick, creamy texture but it's not too rich for my combination skin. It also removes all eye makeup, which a lot of cleansers don’t do. I hate having to take my eye makeup off with another product, especially after a long day or late at night, so this was definitely a big selling point! Also, a lot of other products that claim to be natural warn against using it near your eyes, which I find strange for an all-natural product. The cleanser on its own is great for cleaning skin and taking off makeup but it's the muslin cloth that it comes with that really makes it special. By using the muslin to remove the cleanser you're effectively exfoliating your skin and removing all traces of dirt and dead skin cells - genius!
Many people also claim that the Cleanse and Polish has helped dark marks and blemishes fade away but for darker skin, where scarring and blemishes are a lot deeper it would probably require something a bit stronger like a serum or treatment. What it does do is help keep my complexion super bright and clean and prevent spots from surfacing. What more could I ask for?!
Has anyone else tried the Cleanse & Polish? What did you think of it?
