I recently posted an Autumn beauty look that I'm really loving at the moment and a lot of people were asking me what colour lipstick I was wearing. Surprisingly I ditched my beloved MAC, YSL, Estee Lauder et al for the high street! I was looking for a deep red lipstick but wasn't keen to spend too much on a colour I thought I'd only wear occasionally, and by occasionally I mean in my house, watching telly... Anyway, I had no idea that I'd like the colour so much! You see I've only just become comfortable wearing bright pinks and corals so I didn't think I'd be anywhere near ready to get the red out!
The L'Oreal Colour Riche lipsticks are surprisingly great quality. It glided on to my lips super-smoothly and the colour is SO pigmented. The texture is also glossy and creamy but no so much so that that the colour becomes faded. The ONLY issue I had was that it started to crack and dry up after a few hours so I'd need to prime my lips beforehand and reapply during the day to keep it looking glossy. It's also quite slippery so there's a chance that it could stain your teeth or smudge. I'd suggest using a lip pencil in a darker colour first so that the lipstick can cling on to it better and, unless you have 45 minutes to spare and an extremely steady hand, do NOT attempt applying this straight from the tube or you'll end up with clown lips!
If you're looking for a really murmurous inexpensive, rich red lipstick I'd definitely recommend this one. The colour is an incredibly deep cherry red that would suit most, if not all, Asian skin tones (even though it's matched for blondes on the tube!)
