Soaps get a bad rap for drying skin and stripping it of moisture but I've found that as the beauty industry progresses soaps are becoming a lot more sophisticated and adhering to our skins needs. Take the Gamila Beauty Bar for instance - heralding from a small town in Israel and created by a local woman called Gamila, these soaps are made using 100% natural ingredients so it won't irritate or strip the skin of its natural oils. It's packed with healing oils including avocado, olive, coconut, grapeseed, sweet almond and shea butter and everything is hand made by group of workers in Gamila's village. The main ingredient is olive oil which is super moisturising and helps stimulate the self protective function of the skin, making it stronger, smoother and healthier
I've been using this Beauty Bar in the shower for a few weeks and, despite it's slightly slimy texture (urghhh), it left my skin feeling super silky and soft! There are loads of scents to choose from but the Wild Rose is by far my favourite. It can also be used as a shaving cream and I've found that, because it's all natural, it doesn't irritate my skin afterwards like some other shaving gels do.
The Gamila Beauty Bar is a gorgeous, pampering treat and I'll definitely be buying some more (I've got my eye on the Creamy Vanilla...). The hefty price tag means that it is quite a luxury product but I've been using nearly everyday and it hasn't decreased in size like other soaps do (LUSH, I'm talking to YOU).
Prices start from £20.99 and it's available from www.vitahealthcare.com
